Private Tutoring

The Small School offers individualized tutoring for students in grades 4–12, whether they attend a public school, private school, homeschool, or another educational program. Our one-on-one sessions give students the time and attention to work through difficult material, strengthen skills, or go further in subjects they enjoy.

Tutoring might mean rebuilding confidence in math, working through a challenging piece of writing, preparing for an upcoming exam, catching up in a course, developing stronger study habits, or simply having the space to ask questions and think things through. Our tutors are experienced educators who take the time to understand the student in front of them. We adjust our approach to the way a student learns rather than expecting every student to learn the same way.

Some students need short-term support. Others benefit from meeting regularly throughout the school year. Either way, our aim is the same: to give students the support they need now while helping them become more confident and independent in their own learning. Currently, we offer individualized support in:
