The Outdoor Program
“Never be within doors when you can rightly be without” -Charlotte Mason
An important part of our school life, The Outdoor Program invites students to step outside the classroom and into the living world. In nature, every trail, tree, and season becomes something to learn from. Through gentle exploration, noticing what’s changing around us, working with our hands, and spending unhurried time in the mountains, forests, and deserts of New Mexico, students deepen a sense of resilience and connection to the world around them. Time outdoors is paired with meaningful conversations and shared activities that help students connect what they discover outside with the learning they bring back into the classroom.
